Ojobor Okwudili Bendonald, popularly known as Ben Anansi, was born on the 23rd of February in the late 1990s. This means that he is in his mid or late 20s. He was born in Benue State, Nigeria. However, his family moved to Abuja shortly after he was born. Now, Ben Anansi lives in Lagos State, Nigeria.

In his early years, Ben Anansi was known to have a special affiliation with music. He would write songs on his own anytime he was bored. This habit has stuck with Ben Anansi even to date.

Ben Anansi completed his basic education at the Government Secondary School (GSS) Karshi Abuja. For his tertiary education, Ben Anansi attended the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He eventually graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor Of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Agricultural and Bio-resources Engineering.

The title of the song was "Tumble Me". The song surpassed the feat achieved by "GhettoYute". It instantly went viral. The song went on to be awarded several titles at the University of Nigeria SUG Night event.

In 2018, Ben Anansi released another track titled, "Slow Down". The song was dropped alongside an official video to it. The "Slow Down" track, which resembles a dancehall melody, received praise from several music critics. He was dubbed as one of the future sensations of the Afrobeats genre.
