Tolani Tayo was born on the 24th of October 1989. She was raised in Lagos Nigeria.. She would always find herself in the kitchen watching her mother cook. As time went by, she became the undisputed cook in her house.

Tolani grew up in Lagos Nigeria. However, she traveled to Osun State to study. She attended the prestigious Babcock University. She graduated from the Department of Accounting. While in school, she was the Vice President of the NUASA - Student Division. Despite studying Accounting, she studied other fields of business.

Additionally, being the leader of the Accounting Department gave her more responsibility. She was known for her cooking on the University campus. Her food aroma would travel to other student's hostels.

Tolani Tayo started her career being the Chief Operating Officer of Digital TISV. Digital TISV is a platform that provides visibility for businesses through their brand management. Of course, being in this business helped her manage her expenses. Although she studied Accounting, she specialized in managing the operating needs of this company.

After some time, Tolani Tayo managed to launch her Instagram account. In this account, she decided to make food species for different local ethnic groups. Tolani was inspired by the foreign chefs she watched on TV. She would admire the way Italian and French Chefs in culinary channels mix their recipes. So, she adopted to replicate this with African delicacies.

Even though Tolani Tayo was an excellent chef, she still resolved to increase her skills. She took a course that would improve her skills in cooking. Therefore, she obtained a certification degree at the Italian Chef Academy located in the city of Rome. However, the tuition fee for this school was expensive. Thankfully, she obtained a scholarship from Future Foods Academy.

The Tolani brand, known as "Diary Of A Kitchen Lover," then grew beyond ramifications. She developed her cooking studio. Additionally, she also took in some students who were interested in her services. So, she made sure to create time for it. However, something tragic happened!

In a bid to send her students videos, she lost the files. This moment was very tragic for her. She decided to film all the videos again right from the beginning. This was very difficult because she was working with a company at that time. At the end of the day, she made another compilation for her students.

The tolani reward has paid off. She is now one of the few consistent food vloggers in Nigeria. Now, she is a brand ambassador for Morning Fresh, Nestle, Indomie, and many more. She has also appeared for different food brands in Africa and beyond. Additionally, she has hosted many interviews with different brands in Nigeria.

Tolani is a devoted Christian. She believes in the existence of Jesus Christ. Recently she gave praises to God for the protection of her child. Right from her childhood, she has been a Christian. Tolani favorite food to cook is beans. At first, she never liked the idea of cooking beans. This was because it took a long time to get done. However, she admired the food and made it her first choice food in the house. On the other hand, Tolani Tayo doesn't like cooking soup.
